1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Bellbite food-ordering platform, accessible via Telegram and WhatsApp and any associated web properties at bellbite.co.uk ("the Platform").

By sending a message to the Bellbite bot, placing an order, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you", "your") and Algoscape Innovations Limited ("Bellbite", "we", "us", "our").

2. Definitions

Order ContractThe direct contract for sale of food that is formed between a Customer and a Vendor upon order acceptance
Marketplace ContractThe contract between you and Bellbite for access to and use of the Platform
Payment ProviderStripe, Inc. (card payments) or Telegram Payments (in-app Telegram payments)

3. About Bellbite — Marketplace Only

Bellbite operates solely as a technology marketplace. We connect Customers with independent food Vendors. We are not a food business, food retailer, or food delivery company.

  • Order Contracts are made directly between you and the Vendor, not with Bellbite.
  • Bellbite facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the Order Contract.
  • The Vendor is solely responsible for the preparation, quality, safety, labelling, and fulfilment of your order.
  • Bellbite acts as a limited payment collection agent on behalf of Vendors for the purpose of processing payments.

By placing an order you accept that your legal relationship regarding food quality, delivery, and fulfilment is with the Vendor, not with Bellbite.

4. Eligibility

To use the Platform you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age (or the minimum legal age of contract in your jurisdiction, if higher);
  2. Be a resident of the United Kingdom or otherwise access the Platform lawfully in your location;
  3. Have a valid and active Telegram or WhatsApp account;
  4. Have a valid payment method accepted by our Payment Providers;
  5. Not be prohibited from entering into contracts under applicable law.

By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above conditions.

5. Account & Identity

5.1 Your Profile

When you first interact with the Bellbite bot we create a Platform account using data provided by Telegram or WhatsApp (your display name and, for WhatsApp, your phone number). You are responsible for ensuring any information you provide — including your postcode and delivery address — is accurate and current.

5.2 Your Responsibilities

You must not:

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity;
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform or its underlying systems;
  • Circumvent any security or access-control measures;
  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading orders.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

6. Placing an Order

6.1 Order Flow

  1. Enter your UK postcode to discover nearby Vendors.
  2. Browse by category or search, then add items to your cart.
  3. Select pickup or delivery and, if applicable, enter a delivery address and notes.
  4. Review your cart, subtotal, platform fees, and delivery fee on the order summary screen.
  5. Read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and the privacy notice on the summary screen before proceeding to payment.
  6. Complete payment via Stripe or Telegram Payments.

An order is not confirmed until:

  • Payment is successfully authorised, and
  • The Vendor accepts the order.

You will receive a notification when a Vendor accepts or rejects your order.

6.2 Order Accuracy

You are responsible for reviewing your cart before confirming payment. By proceeding to payment you confirm that your order, delivery details, and any special instructions are correct.

6.3 Vendor Rejection

Vendors may reject an order (for example, if items are unavailable or the kitchen is closed). If a Vendor rejects your order after payment, you will be notified and a full refund will be initiated via the original payment method. Refund timing is subject to your bank or payment provider.

7. Pricing & Fees

7.1 Food Prices

Food item prices are set by Vendors and displayed in the Platform. Prices include VAT where applicable. Bellbite does not control Vendor pricing.

7.2 Platform Service Fee

A platform service fee (currently 49p per order) is charged on every order to cover platform operating costs. This fee is shown on the order summary screen before you confirm payment.

7.3 Delivery Fee

If you choose delivery, a delivery fee (currently £3.50 per order) is added. This is shown on the order summary screen. The delivery fee is subject to change; the amount shown at checkout is the amount you will be charged.

7.4 Fee Changes

Bellbite reserves the right to adjust platform service fees and delivery fees at any time. Any change will be reflected in the checkout flow before you confirm payment, so you are never charged a different amount than what is shown on the order summary screen.

7.5 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by our Payment Providers. By completing a payment you agree to the relevant Payment Provider's terms:

  • Stripe: https://stripe.com/gb/legal
  • Telegram Payments: https://telegram.org/tos

8. Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 Before Vendor Acceptance

You may not cancel an order once payment has been submitted, as the order is transmitted to the Vendor immediately. If the Vendor has not yet accepted, please contact support@bellbite.co.uk as soon as possible and we will make reasonable efforts to assist.

8.2 Vendor Rejection After Payment

If a Vendor rejects your order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank (typically 3–5 business days for card payments).

8.3 Order Issues (Wrong Items, Missing Items, Food Quality)

Because the Order Contract is between you and the Vendor, disputes about food quality, missing items, or incorrect orders must be raised with the Vendor in the first instance. Bellbite may, at its sole discretion, assist in mediating disputes with Vendors or issue goodwill credits, but is not obligated to do so.

8.4 Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.

9. Delivery

9.1 Delivery Times

Estimated delivery or pickup times displayed on the Platform are provided by Vendors and are estimates only. Bellbite does not guarantee delivery within any specific timeframe.

9.2 Failed Delivery

If a delivery cannot be completed (e.g. no answer at the address), the Vendor or driver may leave your order at the door or return it. Bellbite is not responsible for food left unattended at your delivery address.

9.3 Delivery Address Accuracy

You are solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We cannot refund orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by you.

10. Allergies, Dietary Requirements & Food Safety

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

  • Bellbite does not verify, audit, or guarantee allergen, nutritional, or dietary information provided by Vendors.
  • If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or special dietary requirement, you must contact the Vendor directly before placing an order to confirm the suitability of their food.
  • Do not rely solely on menu descriptions or labels on the Platform.
  • Bellbite accepts no liability for any allergic reaction, illness, injury, or death arising from food ordered through the Platform.

11. Vendor Conduct & Responsibility

Vendors on the Platform are independent businesses. Bellbite:

  • Does not employ Vendors or their staff;
  • Does not control Vendor kitchen practices, hygiene standards, or food preparation;
  • Does not guarantee the accuracy of menus, prices, or availability shown by Vendors;
  • Requires Vendors to hold all legally required food business registrations and food hygiene ratings, but does not independently verify these on an ongoing basis.

Any claim relating to food quality, food safety, or fulfilment is a matter between you and the Vendor.

12. Platform Availability & Modifications

12.1 Service Availability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be:

  • Continuously available or free from interruption;
  • Free from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities;
  • Compatible with every device or version of Telegram/WhatsApp.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Platform for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.

12.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time;
  • Add or remove Vendors, menu items, or features;
  • Change these Terms (see Section 18).

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including the Bellbite name and logo, bot interfaces, design, text, and code — is owned by or licensed to Algoscape Innovations Limited and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any intellectual property rights in the Platform.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 General Disclaimer

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Algoscape Innovations Limited (trading as Bellbite) expressly excludes all liability — whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, misrepresentation, or otherwise — for:

(a) any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage of any kind;

(b) loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, or data;

(c) any loss or damage arising from:

  • your use of, or inability to use, the Platform;
  • the acts, omissions, errors, or defaults of any Vendor;
  • the acts, omissions, or policies of Telegram, Meta (WhatsApp), Stripe, or any other third-party service provider;
  • food quality, food safety, allergens, or mislabelling by a Vendor;
  • delays in delivery or non-delivery of orders;
  • any data breach, security incident, or system failure despite reasonable security measures;
  • reliance on information transmitted through the Platform;
  • any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform.

14.2 Cap on Liability

Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

14.3 Mandatory Exceptions

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes:

  • Liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or any other applicable statute.

14.4 Use at Your Own Risk

Your use of the Platform is at your own risk. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Algoscape Innovations Limited, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your use of the Platform, or your violation of any applicable law.

15. Third-Party Platforms

Bellbite is delivered over Telegram and WhatsApp, which are owned and operated by third parties (Telegram Messenger Inc. and Meta Platforms, Inc. respectively). Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. Bellbite has no control over those platforms and accepts no responsibility for:

  • Changes to platform APIs or features that affect the Bellbite service;
  • Outages, censorship, or suspension of your Telegram or WhatsApp account;
  • Data processed by those platforms independently of Bellbite.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

17. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about the Platform or an order:

  1. Contact us at support@bellbite.co.uk with your order details.
  2. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 business days.
  3. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be entitled to refer it to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. We will provide details of available ADR schemes upon request.
  4. You may also be able to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr if you are an EU consumer.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do:

  • The "Last reviewed" date at the top will be updated;
  • For material changes, we will notify active users via the Telegram/WhatsApp channel or by a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect (unless an immediate change is required by law);
  • Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We recommend you review these Terms periodically.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severed from the rest of the Terms without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Algoscape Innovations Limited with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings relating to the same subject matter.
